Here are the facts we checked:
- End of support: October 30, 2026 (Amazon Web Services)
- Gone after that date: The Pinpoint console, endpoints, segments, campaigns, message flows and analytics (Amazon Web Services)
- What keeps working: SMS, voice, mobile push, OTP and phone number validate APIs, as AWS End User Messaging (Amazon Web Services)
- Closed to new customers: May 20, 2025 (Amazon Web Services)
- AWS suggests: Connect Customer outbound campaigns and Customer Profiles; Amazon SES for email; Amazon Kinesis for events (Amazon Web Services)
- Not in Connect Customer: No in-app messaging; no native push in campaigns (Amazon Web Services)
- How to save your endpoints: Make a segment with no filters and export it to S3 or your computer (Amazon Web Services)
- Past results you can export: KPIs for the past 3 months (Amazon Web Services)
- Teams on Pinpoint: Lose campaigns, segments, message flows and analytics on October 30, 2026 (Amazon Web Services)
This is a full shutdown, not a pause. When the service closes, files and lists you did not save may be gone.
Do not wait for a last reminder email. Those emails are often late, and some never come.
Amazon Web Services is the main source for this page. Amazon Pinpoint has not said more than what is listed here. If a fact is not on this page, we do not know it yet.
Who is affected
Teams on Pinpoint: Lose campaigns, segments, message flows and analytics on October 30, 2026.
Export is hard here. Big accounts take the longest, so start early.
The date to remember is October 30, 2026. After that, it may be too late to save what you need.
What to do before October 30
- Export your endpoints first. Make a segment with no filters, then export it to S3 or your computer.
- Save segments, campaigns, flows and templates. Use the get-segment, get-campaign and list-templates APIs, and the matching API for each flow. Keep the output.
- Export your past results. AWS lets you export KPIs for the past 3 months. Do it before October 30.
- Move each job to its new home. Email goes to Amazon SES. Campaigns and flows go to Connect Customer or another tool. Check the gaps: in-app messages are not there.
A few rules help every move go well:
- Save what you can first. Pick the new tool after that.
- Keep every export in two places, like your laptop and a cloud drive.
- Test the new tool with a small part of your data before you move it all.
- Tell your users or team once, in one short and clear message.
How to tell your users
Send one short email. Say what changed, where to find you now, and what they need to do. Put the most important line first.
If there is a date, send a short reminder a few days before it. Keep a copy of the list you sent it to.
