What to do next

Tick steps as you go. Your progress stays in this browser.

  1. Check if Starter fits

Starter allows up to 1,000 notes, 20 notebooks and 5 GB. If you have more, you need Advanced or a new app.

  2. Use the desktop app

Export works only in the Evernote app for Mac or Windows, not on the web. Free accounts can export too.

  3. Export whole notebooks

Right-click a notebook and choose Export. Pick ENEX to keep tags and other details.

  4. Import with a free tool

Obsidian and Joplin can both import ENEX files.
