Sorry you have to deal with this. You can stay on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). Here is what to change before June 14, 2027:

    1. Find clusters with No channel. In the console, check the Release channel field of each cluster.
    2. Pick a channel. Choose Rapid, Regular, Stable or Extended. To hold back node upgrades, use a maintenance exclusion.
    3. Enroll the cluster. Run gcloud container clusters update CLUSTER_NAME --release-channel CHANNEL.

    • What happens: GKE enrolls all remaining clusters in the Stable channel (Google Cloud)
    • Already: Deprecated; new customers can't create or update clusters to use it (Google Cloud)
    • Upgrades today: Clusters without a channel are still upgraded, like clusters in a channel (Google Cloud)
    • Maintenance exclusions without a channel: Only the "No upgrades" scope, up to 90 days (Google Cloud)
    • With a release channel: "No minor upgrades" and "No minor or node upgrades" can last until the end of support (Google Cloud)
    • How to enroll: gcloud container clusters update CLUSTER_NAME --release-channel CHANNEL (Google Cloud)
    • Clusters with No channel: Moved to the Stable channel on June 14, 2027 (Google Cloud)
