Sorry you have to deal with this. You can stay on App Engine. Here is what to change before March 2, 2027:

    1. Find services on Go 1.24 and 1.25. Check the runtime line in each app.yaml, or the runtime of each service and version in the console.
    2. Change the runtime. Set runtime to go127 in app.yaml. Go 1.26 also ends support in Feb/March 2027, so skip it.
    3. Deploy and test. Deploy each service on the new runtime before March 2, 2027.

Switch from App Engine to Your product

App Engine apps on Go 1.24 and 1.25: a change is due by March 2. You can stay on App Engine. If you would rather leave, here is how to move to Your product.

    What changes at App Engine

Google ends support for Go 1.24 and 1.25 on the App Engine standard environment on March 2, 2027. Apps keep running, but you can no longer deploy new versions on it, and it gets no security fixes.

    • End of support: March 2, 2027 (Google Cloud)
    • Runtime: Go 1.24 and Go 1.25 (runtime ID go124, go125) in the App Engine standard environment (Google Cloud)
    • After end of support: Your app keeps running and serving traffic, but you can no longer create or update it on this runtime (Google Cloud)
    • Security fixes: Google no longer applies security updates or patches to the runtime (Google Cloud)
    • Exception: An organization policy can re-enable deployments until the runtime is deprecated (Google Cloud)
    • Deprecated: March 2, 2028 (Google Cloud)
    • Can the dates change?: Google says key dates might be delayed (Google Cloud)
    • Go version policy: Each Go release is supported until there are two newer major releases, so dates may change (Google Cloud)
    • Newer runtimes: Go 1.26 (go126) ends support Feb/March 2027 (estimate); Go 1.27 (go127) ends Aug/Sept 2027 (estimate) (Google Cloud)
    • Apps on Go 1.24 and 1.25: Cannot be deployed again after March 2, 2027 without an exception (Google Cloud)
